​HELP BRING MY LIFE IN HORROR TO PRINT! GIVE KIT THE POWER

 
As Kit Power’s My Life In Horror column enters it’s 6th and final year, a new IndyGoGo campaign aims to bring Volume One to print for the first time! Here’s Kit with the details:
 
“I’d always planned to bring My Life In Horror out in book form at some point, but this project is really Neil Snowden’s fault. We were catching up at EdgeLit 2019, and we got on the subject of Stokercon 2020. “You know, My Life In Horror would be a perfect book for the Stokercon crowd,” he said, calmly, “do you think you could get it out by then?”
 
So, here we are.
 
This is not my first self-publishing project - my collection A WARNING ABOUT YOUR FUTURE ENSLAVEMENT THAT YOU WILL DISMISS AS A COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES AND ESSAYS BY KIT POWER has been out for over two years now, and I’m really happy with how that book came out. That said, for My Life In Horror I wanted to do something a bit different - something a bit special.
 
The twenty nine essays that make up this book showcase the very best of the column from the first three years, alongside the odd guest blog I wrote for other sites. Every single essay has been fully revised and expanded, and if the project funds I have professional editors, formatters and cover designers on standby to ensure the book is delivered to a professional standard. There will be ebooks, paperbacks (with a signed paperback option), and fun perks like MP3 recordings of me reading a specific column or short story - you pick the piece you want me to read.
 
Finally, there will be two hardback editions that will be strictly limited edition, and only available to buy via this campaign.
 
The first will be signed, numbered, limited to 100 copies, and feature a cover design exclusive to this campaign. The second will be lettered and limited to 26 copies. These will also be signed, feature variant cover design, and will also contain a substantial new essay that will only ever be printed as part of this volume. There are also a very limited number of early bird prices on both these limited hardbacks.
 
If the crowdfunding project is successful, the book will have a general release in paperback, hardback, and ebook (that’s why I’m running the campaign, and why now) but backers will get discounted paperbacks and ebooks, and the two hardbacks, as noted above, will only ever be available in this format via this campaign.
