18/7/2013
Dev Jarrett is a recovering Redneck. Not quite sure why anyone would want to recover form being one of those. Dev, is also one of those special guys that we should all be thankful for, having served in the army for over 18 years, Dev has my deepest gratitude for doing something I couldn't. 've been blown up by insurgents in Afghanistan, I've eaten baby chickens still inside their eggshells and barbecued python in the Philippines, and I've thrown darts and played poker with a one-armed bar owner in An-Jong-Ni, Korea. My family and I have lived all over the place, and we're currently stationed in the Washington, DC area. When I'm not out fighting for Truth, Justice, and the American Way, he writeste, and is particularly proud of Dolly, his first novel, due to be published by Bad Moon Books in the Fall of 2013. His second finished novel, Hell or High Water, looks like it will be his first published novel as it will be published by Blood Bound Books in late Spring/early Summer of 2013. He also has a standalone novella available from Sam's Dot Publishing. It's called Family Tradition, and no, it's got nothing to do with the Hank Williams, Jr. song (but if someone wants to purchase the movie rights, I think that'd make one hell of a good addition to the soundtrack. Just sayin'.). It's actually a charming little story about a family of north Georgia cannibals. FIVE MINUTES WITH RICHARD SCHIVER
16/7/2013
Richard grew up listening to ghost stories told by his grandmother as they sat on the front porch while screech owls punctuated her words. As a teen he survived on a steady diet of Creepy, Eerie and Weird Tales comics as well as Saturday night creature features with Count Gore Deval In the past he has worked as a carpenter, a truck driver, in retail sales, and fast food. In that time he has read everything he could lay his hands on. Aware that one day, he would breathe life into the chills he'd first experienced on his grandmother's front porch. Richard currently lives with his wife in Lavale, MD. When he's not spinning tales of terror he can be found in his wood shop making messes. A J KIRBY

14/7/2013
This interview was first published on my old site on 12 June 2011. Adam Nevill, is a writer who first came to my attention, by judging a book by it's cover. By sheer chance I noticed the cover to Banquet of The Damned had a picture of the ruined St Andrews Cathedral. Coming from St Andrews I love to read books that are set in my hometown. Thankfully the book did live up to the cover, and since then i have had a fabulous time reading Adam's work. Adam has a rare gift for writing horror, a gift that transforms his books from horror stories, to truely upsetting and unnerving tales that will chill you to the pit of your very soul.
