An Interview with Jason Arnopp

 Following the release of his debut novel ‘The Last Days Of Jack Sparks’ to great critical response, Jason took some time out of his busy schedule to sit down and chat with us about writing, process, his debut novel, Hollywood deals, his new book, and more. Enjoy!
Jason Arnopp is the author of the Orbit Books novel The Last Days Of Jack Sparks, which is currently being developed as a feature film at Imagine Entertainment, the Hollywood production company co-founded by director Ron Howard (Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon, The Da Vinci Code). The Last Days Of Jack Sparks has been described as "a magnificent millennial nightmare" (Alan Moore), "scarier than watching The Exorcist in an abandoned asylum" (Sarah Lotz) and "The Omen for the social media age" (Christopher Brookmyre).  Lydia Peever is a Canadian horror author, designer and journalist. She is a big fan of horror music, books and film–so anywhere there is blood, you will probably find her lurking somewhere in the corner.
Her short stories have appeared in Postscripts To Darkness, Dark Moon Digest, For When The Veil Drops and her small collection, Pray Lied Eve and it’s sequel Pray Lied Eve 2. The follow up to her first novel Nightface has also been written. In her spare time, she helps update the new releases section of the Horror Writers Association website, photographs zombie walks or bloody punk rock bands, and records a few podcasts. AN INTERVIEW WITH KONN LAVERY

 Konn Lavery is a Canadian horror and dark fantasy writer who is known for his Mental Damnation series. The second book, Dream, reached the Edmonton Journal’s top five selling fictional books list. He started writing fantasy stories at a very young age while being home schooled. It wasn’t until graduating college that he began professionally pursuing his work with his first release, Reality. Since then he has continued to write works of fiction ranging from fantasy to horror.
His literary work is done in the long hours of the night. By day, Konn runs his own graphic design and website development business under the title Reveal Design (www.revealdesign.ca). These skills have been transcribed into the formatting and artwork found within his publications supporting his fascination of transmedia storytelling.  Bracken MacLeod is the author of three novels, a novella, and a short story collection from ChiZine Publications titled, 13 Views of the Suicide Woods (read our review of 13 Views here) . His novel, Stranded released last year by Tor Books was just nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Novel. Her debut novel Defender is a genre defining success (you can read our review of it here), and we were lucky enough to get the opportunist to sit down with Gemma for a chat about among other things book and her obsession with drawing maps for the books she writes.
 Stephanie M. Wytovich is a name well known with the dark fiction genre. A writer of both poetry and prose, Stephanie is also the poetry editor at Raw Dog Screaming Press and a book reviewer at Nameless Magazine. An instructor by day and dark fiction writer during the night, it is safe to say that Stephanie is indeed very busy. I recently read and reviewed The Eighth – the debut novel from Stephanie, released by Dark Regions Press. I was blown away by this outstanding novel that mixes elements of horror and dark fantasy to perfection. I thought it about time that I caught up with her to see what else she has planned for 2017 and beyond.  Jordan King-Lacroix is an author from Sydney, Australia. He holds a Masters of Creative Writing from the University of Sydney, in addition to his Bachelor of Arts from his studies at McGill University, Montreal, Canada and the University of Sydney. He has had his short stories and poetry published in Adventures of Mystery and Intrigue (Vol 1 & 2), Crimson Streets, Paper Lens (Issue 1), Phantasmagoria, Colors in Darkness: Forever Vacancy, Harbinger Asylum (Fall 2016), and Stitched Smile Presents Unleashed: Monsters vs Zombies. A short story is set to be published in Polar Borealis #4.
 Joshua Grant is a caring, hardworking chap who has had more than his fair share of adventure. He has survived a flash flood, encountered numerous bears, and sailed the ocean blue. Josh loves to read, write, play video games, and occasionally read up on the crazy science that’s happening in the world, but most of all he loves just getting people together to love, laugh, and grow alongside each other.  Jonathan Mumm is a 5 time Emmy winning former news reporter whose resume ranges from a just after college early job as a booth announcer with PBS in Washington, D.C to nearly 30 years with KXTV television in Sacramento. He also spent a number of years in Hollywood doing voice-overs and the occasional acting job. He wrote and directed two low budget feature films about the mythical creature known as the Chupacabras and is the author of the ghost story novel paranormal thriller Stop it.
